Online Reservation Policies

General Terms & Conditions:

• RENTER MUST BE AT LEAST 26 YEARS OLD TO RENT. Renter must present a valid drivers license and credit card matching the reservation details when picking up rental.
• Renter may have guests on the boat. Guests are limited to the vessel capacity stated by Pamlico Boat Rentals.
• All persons riding the boat must sign a rental waiver on the day of the rental.
• Children aged 13 and younger must always wear a lifejacket.
• Renter and guests agree to follow safety rules and abide by NC Wildlife, US Coast Guard, and City of Washington/Beaufort County laws and regulations.

Reservation Security Deposit:

• A non-refundable security deposit of $100 is required to confirm all boat reservations. This amount will be applied toward the total rental cost.

Damage or Incident Hold:

• On the day of the rental, renter agrees to a refundable damage deposit or credit card authorization in the amount of $500 to cover potential damages or losses incurred during use. 
• Renter agrees to return the rental boat on time with all equipment undamaged.

Fuel Usage:

• The rental boat will be full of gas at the start of the rental.
• Renter is responsible for paying for the fuel used during the rental.
• Pamlico Boat Rentals will refuel the vessel upon boat rental return, and the renter will be charged for the fuel used during the rental period.

Cancellations:
We understand that plans can change, and we aim to be as fair and transparent as possible with our cancellation terms. Please review the following policy before finalizing your reservation:

• Cancellations Made More Than 14 Days Before Rental Date
  If you cancel your reservation more than 14 days prior to the scheduled rental date, you will receive a refund of any rental fees paid, minus a $100 non-refundable reservation security deposit.
• Cancellations Made 14 Days or Less Before Rental Date
  Cancellations made within 14 days of the scheduled rental date are not eligible for any refund. This includes same-day cancellations and no-shows.
• Reservation Security Deposit
  The $100 reservation security deposit is non-refundable under all circumstances and is required to hold your booking.
• Weather Policy
  In the event of severe weather conditions that make boating unsafe, we may offer the option to reschedule at our discretion, subject to availability. Refunds will not be issued due to weather-related cancellations unless the rental is officially canceled by Pamlico Boat Rentals.

Rescheduling:
We understand that plans may need to change, and we strive to accommodate rescheduling when possible. Please review our reschedule policy carefully:

• Rentals may be rescheduled only if requested more than 14 days in advance of the original rental date.
• The $100 reservation security deposit is non-refundable, but it will be applied to the rescheduled rental.
• Rescheduling requests made within 14 days of the rental date are not permitted, and the original rental is subject to our standard cancellation policy.

• Pamlico Boat Rentals does not reschedule based on weather forecasts. We monitor actual conditions on the river and make decisions based on safety at the time of the rental.
• Weather-related rescheduling may be offered only within 24 hours of the scheduled rental time or on the day of the rental, and is solely at the discretion of Pamlico Boat Rentals.
• Rentals may be rescheduled due to unsafe weather conditions, including but not limited to:
• Heavy, consistent rainfall lasting more than 45 minutes
• Lightning or thunderstorm activity
• Tornado warnings
• High wind advisories
• Pamlico Boat Rentals reserves the right to determine when boating conditions are unsafe and to reschedule rentals accordingly.

By confirming your reservation, you acknowledge and agree to the terms of all reservation policies.

We reserve the right to terminate any rental if we observe, receive reports, or have reason to believe that the vessel is being used in an unsafe manner.
